TimeRime is a web application, which allows people to view, create, share and compare interactive timelines.
In its first year TimeRime has become a popular website for schools and students. Students make timelines of subjects from class, or of their own research. They can do this individually or in groups.
TimeRime introduces the education account for schools, universities and other organizations that have the need for an advertisement free, closed online environment to make, view and grade timelines.

What is an educational account?
An education account is a closed TimeRime environment that is accessible with a password for teachers and students of a school. There will be no advertising on these accounts and only timelines from that school will be visible, so there will be no external content. Teachers will have administrative rights: edit and delete timelines of students, delete accounts of (former) students, add comment to a timeline. Students can make, edit and view timelines.
In general the education account functions like the TimeRime portal site. In addition, an education account provides several extra features:

• print a timeline to PDF
• customize the header of the site, and
• a special subdomain of your own school (e.g. college.timerime.com).

Why an educational account?
The students can work in a closed environment that is free of advertising and where there are no timelines with possible offensive content.
The teacher/coordinator has admin possibilities: edit and delete timelines of students, delete accounts of (former) students, add comment or grades to a timeline.
The search function makes it easy to find timelines of students, groups of students or classes. All admin functions can be performed with the search function, and require no special skills.
A very useful feature is the print to PDF function. A timeline can be converted to a readable and printable file. Pictures, short description and content, including pictures, will be printed in a chronological order.

Safety
Every day a backup of the database of timelines and users is made. In case of undesired use of the passwords you can contact TimeRime and request for new passwords.
The customer is primarily responsible for the distribution of passwords to the right people. It is important that only those with a coordinative function are given admin passwords.

How do I get an educational account?
Go to the order page and fill in the form. We will provide you with your education account details within 3 working days. As soon as you receive these you have access to your account.
